Defense pacts signed by India with other countries during 2015

India and Spain have signed an agreement on Mutual Protection of Classified Information. This agreement provides the framework for enhanced cooperation in the defence sector between both countries. Mutual Protection of Classified Information is a primary pact that a country agrees to before embarking on deeper talks on defence cooperation.

India and Vietnam signed joint vision statement on defence cooperation (2015-2010),on may. Both nations also had held delegation level talks and discussed wide ranging issues concerning defence cooperation, including cooperation in the area of maritime security.This agreement was signed by union defence minister Manohar parrikar and general phung thanh gaung, Vietnamese minister of national defence.

India and United States (US) have signed a new strategically important 10-year defence framework agreement on 3 June 2015. The agreement was signed between Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and visiting US Defence Secretary Dr. Ashton Carter in New Delhi. The framework agreement provides avenues for high level strategic discussions between both nations along with continued exchanges of armed forces and strengthening of defence capabilities.

India and Myanmar have announced plans to strengthen their defence cooperation during a joint consultative commission (JCC) meeting held in New Delhi in july.JCC meeting was chaired by Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Myanmar’s Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin.

India and Indonesia inked a pact to cooperate on criminal matters including collecting evidence in September.

India-Maldives signed a pact to cooperate in defence security. It was signed by Indian foreign affairs minister sushma swaraj and Maldivian foreign minister Russia inks $1 billion deal with HAL to manufacture 200 kamov 226T helicopters under MAKE IN INDIA initiative.

India-Australia has agreed to deepen their bilateral defence partnership based on their shared strategic interests by setting up of a joint working group on defence research and material cooperation.

Myanmar government inked a peace accord with eight ethnic armed groups to end the country’s long running conflicts. India was represented by national security advisor AJITH DOVAL and PM Modi’s special envoy for north east R.N RAVI.

India-France clinched Rs.30000 crore offset deal on 36 RAFALE FIGHTER AIRCRAFT, India’s biggest ever offset deals.

India-china agreed to deepen defence ties and maintain peace at LAC(LINE OF ACTUAL CONTROL).  The decision came  at the meeting of visiting 26 member delegation led by General Fan Changlong, vice chairman of china’s CMC and the Indian side headed by defence minister Manohar Parikkar.
